The döner (100 gr. 400 TL) is a four and a half star, and the Hamsiköy rice pudding (130 TL) is a four-star dish. The döner is a true Ankara döner classic; lamb leg meat, prepared without minced meat, is cooked over charcoal. The spices, salt, and marinade are all balanced, leaving a juicy (slightly oily) but not heavy taste in the mouth. I should mention that I deducted half a point because it was cooked a little more than I wanted. The rice pudding is clean and will please those who like it. However, as those who know will attest, I haven't eaten a better Hamsiköy rice pudding in Istanbul than Nizam Pide's. Nevertheless, they deserve five stars overall, so I'm rating them accordingly.
The meatballs are delicious. The only problem is that most things on the menu run out if you go late.
The doner kebab is very nice
The döner runs out early. When we went at 4 PM, they had no döner left, so we ate meatballs. They weren't very filling, but they tasted like classic meatballs and were good.
We had a portion of meatballs, a portion of döner kebab, and then Hamsiköy rice pudding. Everything was quite good and delicious. Despite the place being crowded, the staff were attentive and efficient.
