My Vera Meyhane

I want to give an unbiased review. I should have done so sooner, but now I have the time. I think it's a wonderful place. The appetizers are superb and delicious. The hot liver appetizer arrived wonderfully. The sautéed meat arrived at our table already sizzling hot. As far as I know, there were only two waiters, but they were always available. They always arrived as soon as we placed an empty glass. We never asked for cold water or ice, and they always had it ready. Oh, and the bill is very reasonable compared to most places. Hope to see you soon. You can go with peace of mind.

The service, food, and ambiance are excellent; I definitely recommend it.

You bring your own drinks, but they also sell them if you prefer. A polite waiter comes and gives you detailed information about the fixed menu. You choose 8 appetizers, 2 hot starters, and 2 main courses for 4 people. For February 2026, it was 1150 TL per person. We ordered calamari and liver as hot starters, and meat sauté and saç tava as main courses. The food quantity was quite sufficient and very delicious. The atmosphere is designed in a comfortable way, perfect for sitting and chatting for hours. Later in the evening, oud and violin music arrives. You get the feeling that you want to go again and again. You know the price you're paying, and you enjoy your food and drinks. We had a lovely evening. I recommend making a reservation in advance. Even on a Wednesday during the week, the place was almost completely full. I definitely recommend you come.

At My Vera Meyhane, which operates on a "bring your own drink" concept, we paid 950₺ per person for a fixed menu consisting of appetizers, a starter, and a main course as of November 2025. We were very pleased with the food: pastrami hummus, Albanian liver, fried anchovies, and sackavurma (a type of Turkish stew). Overall, I think the cuisine is very successful. They cooked the anchovies perfectly. We liked the consistency of the hummus and the liver. The waiters were young and experienced. The musicians didn't overwhelm us; they played nicely from a distance. The air conditioning was also decent. The only flaw I found at My Vera Meyhane was the bread.

Most of the food was good; we only disliked the sun-dried tomatoes among the appetizers. Bringing your own drinks was a sensible solution.
