We were very pleased with the food: pastrami hummus, Albanian liver, fried anchovies, and sackavurma (a type of Turkish stew). Overall, I think the cuisine is very successful. They cooked the anchovies perfectly. We liked the consistency of the hummus and the liver. The waiters were young and experienced. The musicians didn't overwhelm us; they played nicely from a distance. The air conditioning was also decent. The only flaw I found at My Vera Meyhane was the bread.”

“This is a great spot for a spreadable breakfast. The variety is plentiful; the eggs with sausage, fried eggs with kavurma, and menemen are all delicious. The cheese selection is the kind you'd buy at home and is of very high quality. The jams are varied and all delicious. The tea is unlimited and comes in large glasses. I highly recommend it.”
